One of my best firend did this. She wanted a family from the very beginning. She found the man with the same goals and now she lives happy in her hometown. It's okay to want that :) and it's okay if you choose something else :) Bitching about either choice is not okay.

I wouldn't care living in my hometown, but having kids before 24 nowadays in any "developed" country is a sign of major failure and no life expectations.

Going to the doctor who used to be the doctor of your grandma and a colleague (or acquitance, idk) of your grandpa who was also a doctor is just hilarious though. It also feels very good when you realize that people know you by your name because they are long time acquitances with your parents, it gives you a sense of safety, too. Also, running into your old schoolmates and fiends from you own generation is kind of cool also. Not to mention FEELING at home because you know every inch of that town, the sense of belonging and the sense that it actually worth it to do things for the community. Not like that alienated world of big cities where people kind of just exists along, you don't even know who your neighbours are and if you are in need, you likely have no one to reach out to...
